Pick the sentence that does not belong

The idea
Five sentences are given; four form a paragraph and one does not belong. Indore has not set this type in 2019-2026 but lists it in the syllabus; it is common in CAT and in coaching tests. Here it is set as a four-option MCQ (the options name four of the five sentences).

Textbook method
Find the common theme of the sentences and pick the one that does not fit it.
Exam method
- Name the topic. in three or four words from the sentences that clearly belong together.
- Link the four. opener, pronoun links, "therefore/also/however". Usually four sentences lock into one chain.
- Test the leftover. it may share a keyword but shift the theme (a different subject) or the scope (the same subject, a different question, e.g. history instead of how it works).
- Confirm. reading the four in order should make a complete paragraph without the leftover.
