The idea of 5-sentence TITA (Indore)

Five-sentence TITA items (Indore 2019-2025) need the same skills as four-sentence ones, but random checking no longer works. The method is to build blocks: pairs or triples that must stay together. Then arrange the blocks.

The exam method

  1. Mark backward-pointing words in all five sentences.
  2. Build block 1 from the strongest lock ("This means…" + the sentence it explains).
  3. Build block 2 from the next lock (a name introduced in full + the sentence that uses its short form; "A study…" + "The study…").
  4. You now have at most three units. Find the opener among them, then the closer.
  5. Check the joints between blocks: each joint needs its own reason (time order, cause and effect, contrast).
