The idea
Rohtak (and sometimes JIPMAT) gives the first sentence (S1) and the last sentence (S6) of a six-sentence paragraph and jumbles the four in between (P, Q, R, S). Four options are offered, so the task is elimination rather than construction.
Textbook vs exam method
Textbook method
Read S1 and S6, then arrange P, Q, R and S so that the paragraph flows from S1 to S6.
Exam method
- Read S1 and ask what must come next (an answer to a question, the person just named, the next event).
- Find that sentence among P, Q, R, S and strike out every option that does not start with it.
- Among the remaining options, find the one mandatory pair that differs (e.g. "They" in R needs Q) and choose.
- Check the last sentence leads into S6.
