The idea
Since 2025, one of the three Indore RC passages has been a conversation: an interview, podcast or debate between two or three speakers (2025: podcast and start-ups; 2026: a conversation about the Nile and Egypt, according to coaching analyses). The questions check whether you can track who holds which view, where speakers agree and differ, and what a remark implies in context.
Textbook vs exam method
Textbook method
Read the dialogue as an ordinary passage, then answer each question by finding the relevant speaker's lines.
Exam method
- Label the speakers. in a margin note (e.g. Rhea = quick commerce, Suresh = kirana).
- Two-column claims map. note each speaker's main claims in 2–3 words.
- Mark concessions. every "I agree", "fair point", "you're right that" goes on an agree line. Agreement questions are built on these.
- Attribution questions. tag every option as A, B, both or neither. "Expressed by X but not Y" eliminates the both options.
- Implication questions. read the remark with the line before it. Most remarks answer the previous speaker ("you're trying to make it profitable, which isn't the same thing" answers "we're making that service available to everyone").
