Solution: two separate circles inside a bigger one. Cars and bikes are vehicles; no car is a bike.

Too much separation: doctors and teachers can be the same people. Too much overlap: a whale is never a crow; mammals contain the whale only. One condition missed in region questions.

The idea

A Venn diagram shows how classes relate: one wholly inside another, overlapping, or separate. Rohtak 2019 and JIPMAT ask one or two a year in three forms: choose the diagram for three classes (JIPMAT 2021 Q15, 2022 Q30), match groups with diagrams (JIPMAT 2025 Q13, 2026 Q22), or read the number in the region that fits a description (JIPMAT 2024 Q26, 2025 Q24, 2026 Q20).

Textbook vs exam method

Textbook method

For each pair of classes decide: inside, overlap or separate.
Draw the outer classes first, then place the inner ones.
Compare with the options: the right diagram shows exactly those three relations.
For region questions, mark the required shapes and the excluded shapes; the answer lies in their common part.

Exam method

Deer, lion, animals. both inside "animals", separate from each other → two circles inside a big one.
Women, mothers, doctors. mothers inside women; doctors overlap both → a circle inside another, with a third overlapping both.
Flowers, cloths, white. some flowers and some cloths are white, no flower is a cloth → a chain with white in the middle.
Regions. "uneducated women with government and private jobs" = inside women, triangle and private rectangle, outside the educated circle.
