IIMs with 5-year IPM: intake, exam and fees

Seven IIMs run the five-year integrated programme (IPM) covered here. This page lists which exam each uses and the official figures we could verify, all for the 2026-31 batch unless stated. We left out anything we could not check on an official page. Last checked 31 October 2026.

Years 4 and 5 are charged at the MBA or PGP fee of that year at all seven, so the full five-year cost is higher than the first three years. Mess charges are extra almost everywhere. Fees change every batch.

IIM Indore

Course fee ₹6 lakh a year for years 1 to 3. The March 2026 fee sheet shows a first-year total of ₹7,04,000 with the mess and caution deposits. Selection: 65 aptitude test and 35 interview. Detail: Indore pattern.

IIM Rohtak

Own test, 55 for the score, 15 interview, 10 Class 10 and 20 Class 12. 198 seats for the 2026-31 batch. Fee ₹6,22,045 a year for years 1 to 3, plus ₹64,000 of other charges and deposits in year 1 and ₹34,000 in years 2 and 3. Detail: Rohtak pattern.

IIM Ranchi

Uses IPMAT Indore. Shortlist is by IPMAT score, then 65 test, 15 interview and 20 academic profile, with 5 bonus marks for female and transgender candidates. Needs 60% in Class 10 and 12 (55% for SC, ST and PwD). The fee sheet dated 10 July 2026 gives tuition of ₹1,90,000 a term for nine terms (₹17.10 lakh), and ₹17,55,000 in all with the ₹20,000 refundable caution deposit, ₹10,000 alumni fee and ₹15,000 student activity fee; mess is about ₹27,000 a term plus GST. Six extra seats are for foreign nationals, who apply with SAT scores.

IIM Shillong

Uses IPMAT Indore. Needs 70% in Class 10 and 12 and Maths in Class 11 and 12. Weights: Class 10 is 10, Class 12 is 10, IPM AT 30 and interview 50. Application fee ₹2,000 (₹1,000 for SC, ST, DA and EWS). Its finances page gives tuition ₹3,05,000 and non-academic expenses ₹76,000 a year for years 1 to 3, with an alumni fee of ₹10,000 and a refundable caution deposit of ₹20,000 at admission; the page names no batch, so confirm it for 2027.

IIM Amritsar

Uses IPMAT Indore: its 2026-31 policy says shortlisting is based on the IPM AT 2026 conducted by IIM Indore. Needs 60% in Class 10 and 12 (55% for SC, ST and PwD), Maths or Applied Maths in Class 12, and age not more than 20 on 1 August 2026. Its aptitude score weights QA MCQ 30, QA Short Answer 30 and Verbal 40; the composite score is 70 aptitude, 25 interview and 5 gender diversity. Forms ran from 23 February to 6 April 2026. The 2026-31 fee sheet gives ₹6,25,000 in year 1 (including a ₹50,000 refundable caution deposit) and ₹5,75,000 in each of years 2 and 3, ₹17,75,000 in all; the acceptance fee is ₹50,000. Five supernumerary seats are for international applicants with a SAT score of at least 1300.

IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu

Both use JIPMAT. Bodh Gaya needs a sectional percentile of 30 or more; its offer acceptance amount is ₹90,000, and its 2026-31 fee sheet gives ₹4,75,000 a year for years 1 to 3 plus a ₹25,000 caution deposit and ₹35,000 mess and laundry deposit. Jammu's merit is 70 JIPMAT, 15 Class 10 and 15 Class 12, offer acceptance ₹50,000, and its fee page gives ₹6,77,424 a year for years 1 and 2 and ₹6,83,424 for year 3 plus a ₹50,000 caution deposit.

Placements

Placement results are published by IIMs as combined reports. IIM Indore's 2026 consolidated report covers the PGP and IPM together, and we did not find an IPM-only salary figure on an official page, so we do not quote one. Salary numbers on coaching sites are often mixed up between batches and programmes. Open the IIM Indore placement report and the placement pages of each IIM before you rely on any number.
