The exam method
- Same calendar. both ordinary or both leap, and the odd days in between total a multiple of 7 (2009 → 2015; 2023 → 2034).

X was born on 6 March 2014; Independence Day that year was a Friday. Which day was X born?
Solution: Thursday. 162 days between = 23 weeks + 1, so one day before Friday.
Example 3EasyJIPMAT 2023
Which year has the same calendar as 2009 (given 2008 began on a Monday)?
Solution: 2015. Odd days 2009-2014: 1 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 7; 2015 is ordinary like 2009.
