The idea of Row + one or two attributes

Each person in the row also has a colour, an age or a similar value. Clues mix seats and values. The Rohtak 2020 paper had such a set (eight girls and eight colours, Q1-2). Note that its clues allow two seatings; the paper's key follows one of them (see the key note on that question).

The exam method

  1. Tokens. write "Y" (yellow) above a seat as soon as its seat is fixed, even before you know who sits there.
  2. Seats, then values. settle the row, then the ages by elimination.
  3. Two fits. try the other side for the first ambiguous clue before trusting a single row.
